Make it a great week!

Our winter conference dates are quickly approaching. The conference dates are Thursday, February 15 from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Friday February 16 from 8:00am-12:pm.

We acknowledge that time is limited and conferences fill up quickly. Know that our connection with parents is never limited to conference nights, and we are ALWAYS willing to connect with parents either through email, phone, or Google Meet. Feel free to reach out to teachers at RHS for additional opportunities to connect.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7th Roseau had two participants at the Regional Spelling Bee in Thief River Falls competing to be the best speller in our region. The two participants were Delaynna Mortvedt (7th grader) and Avril Huener (5th grader).

They sure made Roseau proud coming home with 3rd & 6th place in our region.

Delaynna Mortvedt received 3rd place and Avril Huener received 6th place.

If you see these lovely ladies around school make sure to congratulate them!

We have a tremendous staff at RHS. Let's take time to recognize and celebrate our colleagues and their hard work and dedication to RHS. Giving a shout out is a great way to recognize your colleagues for their hard work, talents, and dedication to making RHS an incredible place to learn, serve, give and grow. Mr. Larsen's Construction class getting first hand experience from a Tyvek rep on how to appropriately Tyvek a house.

We are hosting a home speech meet on Saturday (2/17/24). Spaces utilized will be classrooms throughout the high school. There are 13 categories so will for sure be using the classrooms in "phase 1". English, Social Studies, etc. We may also need to utilize rooms in the "west wing" area as well. Just wanted to give you a heads up for planning purposes that there will be speeches taking place in your classrooms on that date. Everything will be put back in order after the event.

Students interested in taking a PSEO courses during the 2024-2025 school year should plan to attend the informational meeting held on Monday, February 12th at 6:30 PM in the Roseau Theater. Parents are encouraged to attend with their student(s).

On March 18th – March 22nd our seventh grade students will embark on an optional one-week learning experience of a lifetime at the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. Wolf Ridge is a learning center located on 2,000 acres adjacent to the North Shore of Lake Superior in Finland, Minnesota.

On Tuesday, February 13th a parent/student meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the theater at the Roseau School.

As state testing is around the corner, I put together a one spot stop google site for ease when searching for training materials and other resources to review before, during, and after testing. The site is here: https://sites.google.com/roseauschool.org/roseaustatetestingresources/home

Please start with signing in/creating an Adobe account using the LMS site link on the home page.

Required training by any staff who comes into contact with state-wide testing results/materials and/or monitor must complete the following required training:

• Test Security Training
• Active Monitoring of Statewide Testing
• Administering the MCA (Available starting in January)

• Smart Panel: Internet Issues

  Many of you have recently experienced issues getting to certain sites on your Smart Panel. A recent update for the content filter may have caused you to get logged out of LineWize. For those of you who forgot how to log back in and just dealt with it, this is for you!

  3. Sign in with Google
