Reminder: Cell Phone Policy
We recently sent a reminder about our cell phone policy. Please review it with your student.
Per Policy 5136, phones must stay in lockers during the school day. If students feel unwell, they should use the office phone to call home.
Please be aware of the following regarding violations of the policy:
First offense: A warning is given.
Additional offenses: A parent must pick up the device, and detention may follow.
Thank you for your support! Please refer to the Middle School Handbook or contact us with any questions.
Help Make Our STEM Field Trip Possible!
Our Cedar Springs Middle School 8th grade STEM students have an amazing opportunity to attend the Grand Rapids Griffins School Day Game, which will feature a special STEM theme! Students will engage with interactive vendors like the Michigan Science Olympiad and the Air Zoo, combining hands-on learning with a fun day out.
We need your support to make this trip possible! So far, we’ve raised $215 out of our $700 goal, and every donation helps. Here’s how you can contribute:
$12 funds your student’s ticket
$24 funds your student plus one other
$36 funds your student plus two others
Every donation makes a difference! Thank you for helping provide this exciting and educational experience for our students.
Critical Incident FireDrill
A fire drill was held at the Middle School on Thursday, October 10. Please take a moment to talk with your student about the importance of these drills and overall safety.
In the case of a real emergency, the school will utilize our email and text messaging system to communicate with parents (learn more about updating student information). During an active emergency, please do not call the school or share information on social media, this will allow us to work with authorities as quickly as possible.
We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for our students and staff at Cedar Springs Public Schools and will continue to keep you informed about any future drills.
Study Table Canceled
Study table will be cancelled on Monday, Oct. 14, and Wednesday, Oct. 16, due to parent-teacher conferences.
