Spring has Sprung
BWMS Community,
Thank you parents and students for coming to OSTs this week ready to go. We appreciated our students being responsible with technology and doing their best to SOAR in testing. After a week off next week, we will return to finish up testing during the first week of May according to the schedule below.
- April 30 OST Math Part 1 and May 1 OST Math Part 2
- May 2 OST 8th Science Part 1&2
Purple Up Big Walnut Spirit Week
It was great to see our school support our Military-Connected Families this week with the Purple Up Spirit Week. Just another reminder as to why it is great to be a Golden Eagle. Great work BWMS!
Also, congratulations to our very own Ms. Koby Donohue who was selected was selected as the Ohio Middle Level Association Support Staff of the Year for entire State! The award goes to a staff member who fosters positive, trusting relationships with staff, students and parents. Thank you Koby for all of your efforts - Well Deserved!

Important Updates
- Ohio State Tests will begin on Wednesday 4/17/24. See additional details below.
- Language Arts OSTs are Wednesday 4/17/24 and Thursday 4/18/24. More details below.
- BWMS will host the Scholastic Book Fair during the week of 4/22/24. Parents can also access the online purchasing page HERE.
- Incoming 6th & 7th grade students will visit BWMS on Friday 4/26/24 during the school day. As an important note, incoming 6th grade parents will have an informational meeting at 6:00 on Thursday 5/16/24 and incoming 7th grade parents at 7:00 PM the same day.
- Ohio State Tests will continue on Tuesday 4/30/24 with Math part 1 and Wednesday 5/1/24 for Math part 2. Then 8th grade students only will take the Science OST on Thursday 5/2/24.
- The end of year Teen Night is Friday 5/3/24 from 6PM-8PM. Cost is $5 at the door.
- BWMS Service Day is coming - Friday 5/10/24 - it is going to be Awesome!
