Principal's Message
Dear Swift-Slaybaugh Families,
Walking through the halls and classrooms this week, there was so much evidence of learning, of doing, of being “normal.” It is so nice to see student work, artwork and projects displayed throughout the school. Sure, masks and social distancing are the new norm, but we will continue to embrace, engage and educate our students each and every day.
All our students enjoyed participating in the “Back to School Pep Rallies”. Both our students and teachers enjoyed participating in games and winning lots of fun prizes.
We have a busy October planned. We will be participating in Violence Prevention Week and Red Ribbon Week, please make sure you check your child’s backpack for different events during the week. Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 14th, more information about ordering will be sent out shortly.
Our 1st Parents’ Club Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 5th at EHTHS, Room B179 from 6:30 – 7:30. We would appreciate your support.
I would also like to celebrate our great custodial staff! Although, we celebrate them officially tomorrow, October 2nd, we want them to know that we appreciate them and all their hard work each and every day – we could not function without them.
As always, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Joseph Marinelli

Second Grade Shares Peace
Second Graders in Mrs. Guerra & Mr. Nale's classes had their first guidance lesson with Mrs. Iannello! All students did a great job demonstrating what peace means for themselves and how to share peace with others.

First Pep Rallies of the Year!
On Monday 9-27 and Thursday, 9/30, our mighty preschoolers and our K thru 3 students participated in a pep rally at the Swift-Slaybaugh School Complex to get everyone pumped up for a fantastic school year! The students and teachers participated in dancing and games where fun prizes were won. We are promoting kindness and making good choices throughout the school year and Renaissance will being doing activities to encourage this. At the end of the school year, one boy and one girl will have the chance to win a brand new bicycle. Thank you to our Renaissance Committee and everyone who helped to make our first pep rally of the year a huge success!
