AUGUST MUSTANGS OF THE MONTH
Cafeteria Visitor Guidelines
- Students and parents/guardians will sit at a designated location in the hallway leading to the cafeteria. When weather permits, the tables outside in the courtyard are available for use as well.
- Only students are allowed in the cafeteria, except on designated Spirit Store days.
- You may bring an outside lunch for your child only. You are not permitted to bring food for other students.
- A student may eat lunch with their visiting parent/guardian, but they are not permitted to invite friends to sit with them. This is a special time designated for families.
- 2 adults allowed per lunch visit.
- Students will join their class at the end of lunch. Say goodbye from the designated lunch area.
All food for students must be brought in by a family member. Food delivery services are prohibited.
LIBRARY NEWS
CAR RIDER DETAILS
Drop Off: 7:45 AM - 8:30 AM
- Pull up to the colored cones.
- Please stay in your vehicle during drop off.
- ALL students must exit the vehicle on the sidewalk side (passenger side).
- A staff member will open the right passenger door.
- Exit to the right out of the parking lot to keep the line moving
- If your student arrives after 8:30 AM, please walk them in to sign in for the day
Pick Up: 3:45 PM - 4:10 PM
- Leave two car lengths of space at the entrance of Sawmill Estates.
- School issued car rider tags must be displayed prominately to pick up your child in the car rider line.
- No Tag? Park and sign student out from front office.
- Pull all the way up to the colored cone. We load 8 students at a time!
- ALL students must load the vehicle on the sidewalk side (passenger side).
- Stay in your vehicle during pick up.
- If you need to buckle your child, continue through the car rider line, then pull into a parking spot.
- Refrain from phone use.
- Exit to the right out of the parking lot to keep the line moving.
Students who have not been picked up by 4:15 PM must be picked up in the back of the school by the cafeteria from an Afterschool Adventures staff member. Click here for more information about the Afterschool Adventures Program.
CHILD CARE OPTIONS
Early Morning Childcare - FREE 6:30 AM - 7:35 AM
The Early Morning Care Program will be available for students at each of our elementary and intermediate campuses starting at 6:30 AM on regular school days. Best of all, there will be no cost for this program during the 2024-2025 school year!
Drop Off Times:
- Early Morning Care: 6:30 AM - 7:35 AM
- Car Rider Line: 7:45 AM - 8:30 AM
Students arriving after 7:35 AM must be dropped off in the Car Rider Line and follow the school's traffic pattern.
- Be sure to register using the link below in order for your child to attend.
- Drop off in the back of the building by the cafeteria windows. A staff member will greet your child.
Afterschool Adventures
The Adventures After School program offers a fun and educational environment where children feel engaged and have a sense of belonging through adventurous and meaningful activities. This fee-based program operates at each of the Magnolia ISD elementary campuses for students in grades Pre-K through 6.
FREE & REDUCED LUNCH/BREAKFAST
Free and Reduced Meal Applications are now available and can be completed online! All students who qualify will also receive FREE breakfast! Visit the link to get started. https://nlappscloud.com/ Applications are also available at all campuses and the Child Nutrition department.
START OF YEAR REMINDERS
Absences & Tardies
If your child is absent, please let the school know within five days of your child's absence. You may report your child's absence in several ways:
Go to nse.magnoliaisd.org to report the absence
Send a parent or doctor's note with your child when he/she returns to school (Note needs to be dated, child's name, reason for absence, date of absence, parent signature).
Email Kim Dujmovich, NSE Registrar, at kdujmovich@magnoliaisd.org (Email needs to include your child's name, reason for absence and date of absence).

BIRTHDAYS AT NSE
Students wishing to celebrate their birthdays here at school with their classmates have 2 options:
(1) Bring treat bags containing trinkets only (no cookies, cakes, etc.) or
(2) Purchase cupcakes/juice boxes from the cafeteria.
Please download, complete, and turn in the form below. Forms must be turned into the cafeteria at least two weeks in advance of the celebration date.
