Hello Willard Families!

On behalf of the Willard staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year! We are still in final preparations to get the year started, but I wanted to share some important and fun upcoming events and information. The Willard Weekly will officially resume on Sunday, April 18th. Until then, I do hope to see you at one of our scheduled events.

We are so excited to welcome you to our school. Please see this brief TK/Kinder Orientation video below. (We apologize that we are missing Mrs. Bugarin and Mr. Galvan from the video.) Please feel free to prepare any questions you have and bring them to our TK/Kinder playdate this Saturday, August 10th, at Eaton Blanche Park. Current Willard parents, teachers, and administrators will be there to answer all your questions. (Teachers will be there from 9-10am. All others will be there until 10:30am.)

• Receive your Parent Portal Code (ID required)

Our Willard PTA would like to invite you to celebrate the start of the school year with our first restaurant night fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese! Flyers will be sent home with students in the Blue Willard Folder, so please be on the lookout. We hope you can join us!

We are excited to continue providing free breakfast and lunch for all our students. In order to continue being able to offer this, we need your help. You can help by doing ANY of the following:

1. Sign-up and Login to your Parent Portal Account and complete DATA CONFIRMATION
2. Fill out the LCFF Income Survey when it goes home during the first/second week of school.
3. Fill out one of the following forms:

This year, all students will be required to enter their student ID number on a keypad for their lunch. Staff will help students learn their number the first few days of school. Please help us by having your student practice entering their ID number on the practice chart below. (TK, Kinder and 1st grade students will have a lunch card available.) Thank you!

Pasadena LEARNs is PUSDs After School program hosted on Willard’s campus. LEARNs is accepting applications for 2024-2025. If you have any questions you can visit the PUSD LEARNs webpage. To apply, visit: https://afterschoolhq.com/WillardElementary/browse or call 626.396.3614.

The Boys and Girls Club is now offering limited spaces for Kindergarten students. Please contact them directly for more information.

We would like to remind our 5th grade families to make a payment toward their Astrocamp fees during the summer. You can make a payment at any time online at:

We would like to remind everyone that Willard has a Uniform Dress Code Policy. We have a number of students not adhering to our Uniform Policy. We will begin enforcing Dress Code policy, asking students to change, and calling home.

Why Uniform Dress Code?

Uniforms contribute to a positive school climate. Students are less distracted by what they or their peers are wearing and focus better on school. This reduces potential bullying and peer conflict. It also helps create community and cohesion as a school. (Uniforms, also, make morning dress routines easier as there is no need to decide what to wear.)

The Willard Annual Fund is a key source of funding for programs at our school. In the past, the WAF has paid for science lab, language classes, and our library coordinator.

The Parent Portal is an easy way to keep your contact information up-to-date and monitor your child's attendance and records. You need to verify your data yearly, but only need to register your account one time, while your child is in a PUSD school. Please contact Mrs. Campos for help or your Verification Code. Thank you!
