Headteachers Message
Dear Families
I hope this message finds you well as we settle into the new school year. I’d like to thank all families who attended our recent Welcome Evenings for Years 7, 11 and 12 on Wednesday. It was wonderful to meet so many of you and share our plans for the year ahead. Today you will receive letters home with the content of the slideshows for your reference. Your continued support is invaluable to the success of our students and school community.
This week marked the 'Launch Week' of our extra-curricular programme, and it has been great to see so many students getting involved in a range of activities. Upon arrival this morning I was thrilled to see an early morning football club and gymnastics session well under way, what a great way to start the day. If your child hasn't attended a club or activity yet, please visit our website for a full list of what's available, there’s something for everyone!
A special mention to our Years 10 - 12 students, who had the pleasure of attending War Horse at the New Wimbledon Theatre on Tuesday evening. We are always excited to offer enriching cultural experiences like these, and we have many more upcoming in the future. Also, a huge well done to our Year 11 boys football team who defeated Grey Court 5-2 in the opening fixture of the season.
If you, or any friends and family, are considering our school for next year, please don’t forget to book your place at our Open Evening on 2 October or one of our Open Mornings between 7 - 10 October. You can find more information and booking links on our website.
As always, we remind you to ensure that all students arrive punctually at 08:30 in full uniform. Timely arrival sets a positive tone for the day ahead. On a related note, I hope you had a chance to read my recent letter regarding TfL service changes. The 681 buses should now be operating at earlier times to ensure students arrive on time for the start of the school day.
We are excited to introduce a new weekly careers newsletter which will be linked below. This is a fantastic resource for both students and parents to explore opportunities, advice, and guidance. These newsletters can also be found on our website under the 'Future Ready' section.
Lastly, our PTA will be having their first meeting of the year on Monday 30 September, and they are already hard at work planning a Comedy Night on 17 October. It promises to be a fun and entertaining evening, with more details to follow soon. You can find their first update below.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead.
Kind regards
Mr P Grills

Weekly Head of Year Message
Dear Families
Year 7 have made a fantastic start to their time at Teddington School and are settling in wonderfully. They are adjusting well to the day-to-day routines, and it's great to see them looking so smart in their uniforms. Their enthusiasm in lessons has been excellent, with many students already showing a keen interest in participating and engaging with their learning. We are looking forward to seeing them engage in all the extra-curricular activities we have to offer, with lots of clubs now up and running. It's a great opportunity to make new friends and become confident members of the year group!
Kind regards
Ms J Mead
Head of Year 7

Shortly followed another competition in Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, where Martha also secured 29th place!
