Cleaner Greener Quincy
Cleaner, Greener Quincy will be held on Saturday, May 4th at Parker from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. If you can spare 10 minutes or 2 hours on Saturday, May 4th, please join us and help make Parker sparkle!

Quincy Public Schools Virtual Parent Academy - Understanding Anxiety
Quincy Public Schools Presents:
Understanding Anxiety
A Virtual Parent Academy
May 14th and June 4th from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
This workshop for caregivers focuses on understanding anxiety, the impact it can have and strategies to address and confront it. The goal is to inspire both hope and change to address anxiety. It is designed to meet for two sessions so that participants can try out some new strategies before returning for reflection and follow-up. You are still welcome to join if you can not attend both sessions.

MCAS
We have been working together all year to prepare our students to do their very best on the MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System). Teachers have been emphasizing the importance of each child doing his / her best. Thank you for encouraging and supporting your child’s efforts. We have wonderful students who take responsibility for their learning and want to do well. Our students are becoming engaged citizens who are critical thinkers, creative problem solvers and lifelong learners. We are so proud of our students! The Parker School staff will continue to work together to provide for the academic needs of every child. MCAS, here we come! Volunteer Information
Volunteers are a great asset to Parker School! On behalf of Parker students, teachers and families, thank you for considering volunteering. This is a reminder that if you are interested in volunteering to chaperone field trips, help with our annual Parker Pride Day (Friday, June 7th) or other Parker volunteer opportunities you must undergo a criminal background check and be notified of approval before you can volunteer.
CORI
Please print and complete this CORI form and return it in person to Parker School. Please bring a state issued driver's license or state issued ID card with photograph with you. Here is a link to the Quincy Public Schools webiste with more information about CORI and the background check process. If you need a printed copy of the CORI form, please reach out to the office at Parker and we will give you a paper copy.
SAFIS / Fingerprinting
A National Background Check (fingerprinting) is required for all school volunteers who may have direct and unmonitored contact with children. The NBC fee for volunteers is $35.There is more information on the Quincy Public Schools website regarding the process for the CORI for and for the SAFIS / fingerprinting. Please reach out with any questions. The link to the QPS website for CORI and SAFIs information is copied below.
Kindergarten Registration
Welcome to kindergarten! Children who will be five years of age on or before August 31, 2023 are eligible to attend kindergarten beginning in September 2024. Kindergarten registration is a two-step process.
Families will fill out an online Pre-Registration form:

- Families will be contacted to complete the registration process; this appointment may be at the school site or at the Central Registration office. Translation services are available at Central Registration.
If your child presently attends a Pre-Kindergarten program at the Amelio Della Chiesa Early Childhood Center, Point Webster, or Snug Harbor it is not necessary to register your child for Kindergarten.
