Anglo European School
Bulletin w/c 31st March - Week 1
Women's History Month
In a rather timely fashion, Year 8 History students have been learning about the Suffragette Movement this month. They were also interested to hear about two local Ingatestone Suffragettes, Dorothea and Madeleine Rock and their story, more information on these women is below.
Willkommen!
We welcomed Year 8 and 9 students from Gymnasium am Mosbacher Berg in Wiesbaden. They will be with us until 3rd April and will enjoy a packed programme including: a visit to Canterbury to see the Cathedral, a guided tour of the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, a walking sightseeing tour of London, a visit to the London Museum and a day visit to Cambridge. We hope they enjoy their visit to England.
Japanese Students
We were delighted to welcome Japanese students from Chuo University Junior & Senior High School in Tokyo. This intensive study visit is organised through Cultural Homestay in Europe. They enjoyed a packed programme including Drama, Art and PE classes along with visits to London and Cambridge. They all had a memorable time immersing themselves into our UK school. Year 9 Anglo students equally enjoyed getting to know these students and took the opportunity to practise their Japanese. Their week ended with a final farewell performance to the Headteacher and teachers who supported them throughout their stay.

International Quiz
Congratulations to all the forms for taking part in the recent International Quiz that formed part of the celebrations of International Day. We had a tie break situation with forms 10C, 10T and 10P, so well done to all these forms but many congratulations to Form 10P, who were victorious. Mrs Porsz visited their form this week to hand out lots of goodies from the Goethe-Institut, such as notebooks, pens, and badges.
