It's our final week of the Fall 2024 Semester!

Here are some key updates and celebrations to keep you informed:

ACP Week IS HERE. The schedule is listed below. Students must take their ACPs. They count for 15% of a student's final semester grade.
BA Students get in the Holiday Spirit! Students can dress according to the day's theme! See the dress up theme below.
Report Cards for Semester 1 will be available in January. Keep an eye on PowerSchool to review your grades and progress.
Updated Ranking Information for Students is coming soon! Students in grades 10 - 12 & families, be sure to check in with the counseling office for more details if you have questions.
Holiday Season is here! See below for great opportunities to enjoy the break with your kiddos!

🎉 Congratulations to BA Cheer! 🎉

Our incredible BA Cheer team brought their Cougar pride to the floor and placed 3rd at the DISD Cheer Competition! Their hard work, dedication, and Cougar spirit shone bright, and we couldn’t be more proud of their achievement. A big shoutout to the team and their coaches for representing BA with excellence and enthusiasm. Way to go, Cougars! 🐾🎀

🎖️ Cadet Violeta Calvillo Honored with Prestigious Award! 🎖️

We are immensely proud to announce that Cadet Violeta Calvillo has been awarded the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) Patrick Henry Outstanding Cadet Award. This esteemed honor recognizes exceptional youth for their patriotic achievements and dedication to service. The MOWW, established in 1919, is a distinguished organization that promotes patriotism and good citizenship among America's youth. The Patrick Henry Award, named after the renowned American patriot, is presented to cadets who exemplify outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to community service. Cadet Calvillo's dedication and hard work have set a remarkable example for her peers, and this award is a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence. 🎄 BA Fine Arts Shine at Holiday on the Hill! 🎄

This past week, our amazing BA Theater, Orchestra, DJ Club, and Mariachi students brought the holiday spirit to life at Holiday on the Hill, our middle school holiday market! Their performances were a perfect blend of talent and festive cheer, creating unforgettable memories for everyone in attendance. Thank you to our incredible students and directors for showcasing the heart and soul of BA Fine Arts. Cougar Pride never sounded or looked so good! 🐾🎶🎭🎻🎺

Swim City Champs

We are thrilled to announce that both our Boys' and Girls' Swim Teams have emerged as City Champions at the recent DISD Swim Competition! Their dedication, teamwork, and Cougar spirit have led them to this outstanding achievement. A heartfelt congratulations to all our swimmers and coaches for their hard work and excellence in the pool. You have made the BA community incredibly proud! 🏆🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

💃 BA Dance Shines at the Winter Showcase! 💃

Our talented BA Dance students wowed the audience at the Winter Showcase, where they proudly represented all the incredible dance programs here at Bryan Adams! From elegant choreography to high-energy performances, their dedication and artistry were on full display.

A huge thank you to our dancers and their directors for creating a magical evening filled with Cougar Pride and creativity. We are so proud of all your hard work and passion! 🐾✨🎶

We are thrilled to announce that one of our talented BA Band students, Edward Hernandez, has advanced to Area in the competitive All-Region Band process! We do not encourage you to pick up your child or make appts for your child during testing. However, we know that emergencies and urgent situations happen. Students must be picked up no later than 2PM from the front office if leaving any earlier. Please be prepared for longer wait times when picking up your child during testing.

8th Grade Pep Rally and Open House - January 2025

Hello BA Families! 🎉

We’re so excited to invite our future Cougars and their families to THREE upcoming events! 🐾 Join us on December 16th from 6PM - 7PM for an 8th grade parent information session. Come and learn all about how Bryan Adams is your #1 choice and the premiere East Dallas neighborhood school!🏫✨💚

January 24th for our 8th Grade Pep Rally 🎺, where you’ll get to experience the incredible BA spirit and see what makes our school community so special! It’s a fantastic chance for future students to feel the energy and pride that make BA unique! Parents are welcome to attend as chaperones for their students. (Must ride the bus and get Voly clearance)💚

Then, don’t miss our BA Open House on January 25th from 10 AM - 12 PM 🏫✨. This event is open to everyone interested in learning more about Bryan Adams High School, our programs, and our supportive community. Take a tour, meet some of our amazing teachers, and discover all the opportunities waiting for you at BA! 📚👩‍🏫

Upcoming Events

ACP Fall 2024 Schedule

NEW EARLY RELEASE TIMES HAVE BEEN CREATED TO ACCOMMODATE MIDDLE SCHOOL DISMISSAL

ACP Testing begins on Monday, December 16, in the PM and runs through Friday, December 20.

Students will follow a modified testing schedule, with exams starting at 9:10 AM and concluding by 2:25 PM each day (12/17 - 12/20).

All CI students will remain on campus during testing days, and CI will send their staff to BA to assist.

Students must bring a fully charged laptop to school every day for testing. Thank you for your cooperation as we finish the semester strong! 💻📚

🎄 Holiday Spirit Week is Here! 🎅

Students, it's time to spread some holiday cheer! Join us for a fun-filled week of dress-up days and enjoy jeans all week—as long as you participate in the themed dress-up days!

✨ Here's the lineup:

Monday, 16th: Top off your holiday look with festive headwear! 🎩🎅
Tuesday, 17th: Go green like the Grinch and feel merry. 💚
Wednesday, 18th: Pair your jeans with a jolly holiday shirt! 🎄👕

Bryan Adams senior parent/guardians! Please utilize this resource to create your FSA ID. Both the student and parent(s) must create an account. Creating your FSA ID before a FAFSA workshop will help expedite the process however we will still provide assistance to create FSA IDs.
