We’ve reached Week 22, and your child’s progress continues to shine! As we move forward, we’re focusing on reinforcing key concepts while building confidence and independent learning skills. Consistency is key, so encourage regular study habits at home.
This month is Black History Month, we’ll be learning a lot African American figures, engaging in interactive activities, and honing critical thinking skills. Please continue to support your child by asking about their learning and celebrating their efforts.
As always, we’re here to help—feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Let’s keep up the great work!

Our school counselor, Mrs. Tricomi, is an incredible source of support, guidance, and encouragement for our students, families, and staff. She goes above and beyond to ensure every child feels heard, valued, and empowered to succeed both academically and emotionally. Whether she’s helping students navigate challenges, providing a listening ear, or fostering a positive school environment, her kindness and dedication shine through in everything she does. We are so grateful for her unwavering commitment to our school community, and we truly love and appreciate all that she brings to our team!

Important Reminder From Nurse Matkins
Parents,
- A medication administration consent form must be completed by a healthcare provider and signed by parent/guardian for any medication to be given at school. This includes both over-the-counter and prescription medications. All medication must be in an original bottle with appropriate labels.
- Both families and school personnel want to keep children safe and healthy. Unfortunately, children do get sick and injured. Please notify the school with any changes in phone numbers throughout the year in case your child becomes ill or an emergency occurs. Since ill and injured children feel most comfortable with family, we ask that you promptly pick up your child when notified. Another factor is that ill children may be exposing others at school to contagious disease.
If your child has any acute or chronic health problems or surgery, please inform the school nurse. Please update with changes throughout the school year
Please keep your child home from school if he/she has:
A temperature above 100 F during previous 24 hours (should be fever free without use of medication for 24 hours before returning to school)
Vomiting or diarrhea during the prior 24 hours
Yellow or green nasal drainage associated with sore throat, nausea or fatigue
A persistent cough which has kept your child up at night
Signs or symptoms of Influenza, such as body aches, chills, headache, fatigue
Please notify the school nurse if your child has an illness that is contagious, such as testing positive for Covid-19 or Influenza.

- Un proveedor de atención médica debe completar un formulario de consentimiento para la administración de medicamentos y debe estar firmado por el padre o tutor para cualquier medicamento que se administre en la escuela.
