The Department of Continuous School Improvement is now offering a competency-based ESL Endorsement for all interested teachers. Participants will complete six courses in Canvas to demonstrate competency in the five Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) domains: language acquisition; cultural diversity; planning and implementing instruction; assessment and evaluation; and professionalism and leadership. Courses are self-paced; it is anticipated that the full endorsement will take approximately two years to complete. Teachers can start the endorsement at any time and can work on it through the summer and during school breaks if desired. Post exp.1.14
