eBikes and eScooters

With the increasing popularity of electric bikes (e-bikes) and scooters (e-scooters) among our students, there is a growing need for safety awareness. To promote the safety of all our students and all local commuters, we want to remind our families and students that sharing the road with cars requires heightened vigilance and adherence to traffic rules.

Please review these important safety reminders with your child if they use an e-bike or scooter for their commute:

Obey Traffic Laws: E-bikes and scooters must adhere to all traffic regulations.

• Follow the rules of the road. Traffic lights, signs, and signals apply to all road users, including bicycles and scooters.
• Pedestrians have priority on sidewalks and crosswalks. In most cases, e-bikes and e-scooters are not allowed to be ridden on city sidewalks.
• Always ride in the same direction of traffic.

Ensure Visibility: Equip e-bikes and e-scooters with adequate lights and reflectors to enhance visibility. Consider adding reflective striping to helmets and backpacks.

Exercise Caution: Remind your child to stay aware of their surroundings, give way to pedestrians and vehicles, and remain alert while riding.

By following these guidelines, we can work together to create a safer environment for all our students. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring their safety.

Participate in this PTSA fundraiser by selling delicious small batch popcorn. Our school PTSA keeps 50% of all sales which goes right back into our school. PTSA uses the fundraiser money to provide fun activities and rewards for our students.

Sunday, October 27th is Summit Intermediate's afternoon with the Ontario Reign. We hope everyone can join us to cheer on our local team and enjoy a fun time together. Click here to purchase tickets

As we continue to support our students' learning and growth, we are reaching out to request your help in providing fun reward items for the Shark Shack (our PBIS Store) that will help contribute to a positive and motivating environment for our middle schoolers. We are asking for donations of high interest items which can be found on our PBIS Amazon Wishlist. Please scan the QR code or click on the link below for the wishlist if you are interested and able to make donations.

These rewards help keep our students engaged and excited to participate in classroom learning. Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated! If you're able to donate, please drop them off at the front office or you can have them shipped directly to the school at 5959 East Ave., Etiwanda 91739.

Any student who participates in the E3 Fun Run and brings their race bib to school after the race will be awared a FREE MILE PASS! Don't forget to sign up by October 27th.
