We were so excited to meet so many of you at yesterday’s Back to School Bonanza. Please see below for a quick overview of upcoming events and exciting information to help make this the best school year yet! We can’t wait to see you on the first day of school!

What is Membership Toolkit (MTK)? MTK is a website managed by the Pierce PTA and is available only to parents of Pierce Elementary School students. Here, you can:

• Pay classroom dues, which support activities in your child’s classroom throughout this school year. Unused dues roll over with your child’s class each year and, remaining funds are used for the 5th Grade Celebration & Class Gift.

• Make a donation to the PTA to help us support both school needs for staff as well as students.

• Purchase tickets for our community events (Carnival tickets currently on sale!)

• Other items available for sale during the year such as Pierce Photo Calendar, Yearbooks (sold in spring), and more!

• Those families that have made a PTA Annual Donation in our store of at least $15 will have access to the online directory

• We are always looking for more volunteers to help with events and on-going roles within the school. Check out our Volunteer section to see what is available.

• Stay on top of Pierce general events with an easy to access calendar.

• Tuesday, September 3rd from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the Pierce Commons (post-drop off)

• Casual meet & greet for parents to kick-off the school year

• Sign up for the opportunity to be a room parent (last chance!), reunite with old & new friends to start the school year off right!

• Wednesday, October 2, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the Computer Lab (parents need to check in at the front office before heading to the meeting for a name tag - drivers license/ID is required)

• PTA Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month

• ALL parents are welcome to attend any PTA meeting. Younger siblings are welcome, and parents are welcome to show up after 9AM if preschool drop-offs or other schedule needs make it hard to be there right at 9AM. We would love to have you!

• Pierce Carnival

• All Ages are welcomed to join the fun!

• Bounce houses, face painting, games, magician, and food trucks

• Open to all Pierce families & the greater Birmingham community

• Sign up to volunteer to help make this event the best one yet!

• Purchase tickets today on MTK.

• Tickets for kids ages 3+ are available on MTK through Sept 11 for $15 each. Adults + kids under 3 are free!

• Pre-purchase special treats…these treats can sell out!

• After Sept 11, tickets are $20 and only sold in person at the carnival – save time & money by purchasing today!
