Lady Buffs Varsity Basketball secured the win against Comfort on Wednesday night!
Powerlifting
On Thursday, January 23, the boys and girls powerlifting team competed at the Cameron Yoe Invitational and we had some athletes medal!

Representatives from the Georgetown Assistance League visited our campus this past Friday to present our art teacher, Mr. Shaw, with a grant for close to $1000 to purchase supplies for his classroom! Congratulations, Mr. Shaw!

Please use this form to indicate if you are a senior and would like to opt in for the SAT School Day on March 26, 2025. SAT School day is only for students belonging to the JUNIOR CLASS. The deadline to have this form filled out is February 3, 2025.

TSI Complete
We are quickly approaching TSI testing for students that signed up. Make sure you are preparing yourself to be successful.
In Texas, TSI Complete means that a student has met all the requirements of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) and is ready to enroll in college-level courses:
TSIA2 Benchmarks
- Mathematics: a minimum score of 950 or less than 950 and a diagnostic level 6
- ELAR (English language arts, writing and reading): a minimum score of 945 on the multiple-choice section with an essay score of 5-8, or less than 945 on the multiple-choice section, a diagnostic level of 5 or 6, and an essay score of 5-8
College and Career Readiness Benchmarks (SAT)
- Reading and Writing: 480
- Math: 530

The Horatio Alger Association is seeking students that display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, and plan to pursue higher education. Students must have financial need and a determination to turn their adversity into opportunity and pursue their American Dream.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Be enrolled full time as a high school junior in the United States
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
Demonstrate financial need ($65,000 or lower household income)
Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and
Be a United States citizen

RESTORE Scholarship
The Gerloff Company, Inc. is awarding scholarships to deserving high school seniors who are continuing their education at a college, university or trade school. Depending on the number of applications, multiple $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded. The individual scholarship will be made payable to the student and is meant to be used to assist with tuition, room and board, books, and/or any other expenses associated with the cost in obtaining a degree or certification from a college, university or trade school. It's that time of year. Attached are this year's CTSFSDA Scholarship applications. We've also shared a flyer that you can share with your districts*. Note there are 3 different applications: one for High School Students, one for College Students, and one for District Employees. All applications must be received by CTSFSDA no later than March 10, 2025.
Applications must be accompanied by:
1.) A professional letter of reference from a supervisor, employer, or school official
2.) Personal letter of reference (non-relative)
3.) Copy of Transcript from current school attending

Assistance League of Georgetown Scholarships
The Assistance League of Georgetown is offering two scholarships.
1) Scholarship for students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Texas to pursue a 4-year degree.
2) Scholarship for students attending an accredited vocational program/apprenticeship/technology certification program in the State of Texas.

The Fort Cavazos Family Scholarship Fund
The Fort Cavazos Family Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for the upcoming scholarship cycle. The scholarship window opened on December 24th, 2024, and will close on Sunday, February 16th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Please share this information with other staff and counselors within your school and district to ensure all eligible students have the opportunity to apply.
Key Details:
· Application Window: December 24th, 2024, to February 16th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
· Eligibility: High school seniors and spouses of military members with a valid military ID. Applicants must have an active duty sponsor assigned to Fort Hood; be retirees of active duty sponsors whose last duty station was Fort Hood and reside in Bell, Coryell, Lampasas, McLennan, Travis, or Williamson County; or be dependents of deceased military members residing in these counties.

Essay Question for High School Applicants: "Describe a significant event or experience in your life that transformed your perspective and influenced your future aspirations.
