Teacher Appreciation Postcards!
Teacher/Staff Appreciation week is coming up May 5-9th! We're looking to celebrate our teachers in a big way, but we need the help of Wass Wolves!
A "postcard" should have come home with your student this week. We're asking that your child chooses a deserving teacher or staff member and write on their postcard why they "think the world" of that staff member! The students should feel free to decorate their postcards as much or as little as they'd like!
Once their postcard is ready to be sent - bring it up to the front office and deposit it in the blue postcard collection mailbox to the left of the door as you enter. We will collect these until May 2nd and then distribute them to staff members during teacher appreciation week!
Shhh - we want to keep this as much of a surprise as we can!
There is no limit on how many postcards students can fill out. Feel free to select as many staff members as you feel you'd like to honor! Parents and family members are also welcome to fill out postcards!
Extra copies will be available in the front office and can be printed at home using the attached pdf as well. Make sure to set your printer settings to 2-sided and print along the "long side" to get 2 front to back post cards out of one document!
Thank you so much for helping us make our teachers feel special!

Volunteer Sign-Up for Flower Delivery Day!
Flower Delivery Day is Wednesday, May 21st! The truck will arrive at 10:30 AM to unload the flowers, and families will be able to pick them up in the Wass teacher parking lot on May 21st from 2:00-5:30 PM.
We are still in need of many volunteers to help make our delivery day a success, especially with unloading the plants and sorting orders. If you're interested and able, please visit the link to the sign up genius!
Your support is greatly appreciated, and we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for helping make this event a success!

From the PTO
We want to extend a big thank you to those who ordered from or came out to our restaurant night last week at Noodles and Company and Oberweis! My kiddos had a fun time running into some of their friends and of course, chowing down on noodles and ice cream! It may not seem like a lot, but the contribution from restaurant nights really does help fund our student learning activities like field trips and assemblies year long! We also want to thank Kristy Fleming for chairing our restaurant night events this year! She does a fantastic job organizing those and it's so very appreciated.
What's Next? Our final meeting of the year is set for May 8th! We hope that you can join us as we do a quick wrap up and get out to Chalk the Walk after!
Thank you for all the support during this BUSY and FUN time of year! It certainly moves fast!

Would you like to see what your household contributed? If you look in your app, you can go to settings --> rewards --> community rewards and see your own quarterly contribution!
If you haven't signed up yet, it's easy! Follow the link and start earning! Families and friends can also sign up to help us earn: https://www.kroger.com/i/community/community-rewards
