As you can see in the "Week at a Glance" section, we have a very busy week ahead! We just want to take a moment to express how incredibly proud we are of ALL the KHS Choirs. This week, each ensemble has given their absolute best in rehearsals, and their hard work truly shines through. These students are investing so much into preparing our concerts that will bring all of us into the holiday spirit. We are so grateful for their dedication and passion. Thank you to our amazing KHS Choir members for everything they do — we couldn't be more proud.

Next week we have both of our Holiday Concerts in the KHS Auditorium. Both concerts include our Band and Orchestra program. Due to the number of ensembles, we split our holiday concert into a non-varsity and varsity night.

Non-Varsity Holiday Concert - 2nd, 4th, and 5th period

• Call Time - 6:45 PM in the choir room in formal choir uniform (dress/tux)
• Concert Time - 7:15 PM in the KHS Auditorium

Tuesday evening is consists of 3 concerts back to back in the auditorium. Choir is the second concert of the night, followed by Band. The Choir portion of the concert will end close to 7:45-7:55 PM. Choir students and parents can then exit the auditorium as band starts their concert at 8:00 PM. You are more the welcome to come early and/or stay to enjoy the orchestra and band performances!

Varsity Holiday Concert - 3rd and 6th period

Call Time - 5:30 PM in the choir room in formal choir uniform (dress/tux)

Concert Time - 6:30 PM in the KHS Auditorium

The Varsity Concert will open with choir in addition to Chorale joining the full symphony orchestra in the combined closer "We Need A Little Christmas."

Be sure to keep a look out for our KHS Culinary depart on Mainstreet. They are selling some festive and sweet treats during the Varsity Concert evening. We hope to see you there!

The Chorale Elementary Holiday Tour is on Friday, December 13. Chorale members will be field-tripped all day next Friday and return back to KHS before 7th period ends. Students will be split into 2 groups (3 elementary schools each) and have lunch that day at the Willowbrook Mall. Students will find out which group they are in early next week.

Transportation via bus will be provided for the tour except for getting to the first elementary school of the day. Students will need to either drive or be dropped off at the first elementary school of this tour. This will be either Kuehnle or Benfer Elementary.

After our own Concert at KHS, and our annual Elementary Holiday Tour, Chorale will be featured in the Texas Master Chorale Christmas Concert: "A Feast of Carols" on Saturday, December 14 at 7:30 PM. To be invited to an event of this level is an honor and we are very excited to join the Texas Master Chorale in addition to a full orchestra. Chorale students and parents, please read through the info document below to ensure we are prepared to end our busy week on a high note!

This past Tuesday, KHS Choir students participated in an incredibly tough Pre-Area audition. We are extremely proud to say that we have 2 students moving on to the fourth and final round of All-State auditions! Please congratulate the following.

Jade Breitstein, Bass 2 - FIRST CHAIR

Leyla Petrovic, Soprano 2 - 7th Chair (second alternate)

These Area candidates will audition to be a part of the TMEA All-State Choirs on Saturday, January 11 at The Woodlands High School.

We hope everyone who attended our Christmas Tree Farm Social had a blast last night! Between s'mores, hotdogs, and lots of running around, the evening was a hit. Thank you to our parent chaperones and student officers who worked hard to make sure the night ran smoothly!
