HARTFORD SCOOP INTERVIEWS DR. RAFFERTY
Hartford Scoop Reporter, Dan Niv, interviewed Dr. Rafferty recently to gain insight into the district's homework policy. Hartford Scoop is the school's news publication staffed entirely by student writers/reporters (approximately 25), under the direction of Mrs. Rupert, 6th Grade ELA Teacher The Hartford Scoop covers school, district, community and national news stories.
HILLSIDE HITS A HIGH NOTE
Courtesy of the Burlington County Sheriff's Department, Hillside Elementary School students enjoy their first lesson on guitars donated to the BCSD by Amazon. Let the music begin!
NEHS SHARES WARMTH
The Hartford National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) recently held a Sock & Glove Drive to benefit the homeless. Fifth Grade collected gloves, while the 6th Grade collected socks. A whopping 1,016 pairs of socks and 191 pairs of gloves were donated! The winning classrooms (Ms. Callari/5th & Mr. Young/6th) received Chick-fil-A gift cards! CELEBRATING MUSLIM HERITAGE MONTH
