SHRHS Library Needs Your Help!!
Our current students use our collection of yearbooks quite often throughout the year for various projects. Can anyone help make our collection complete?
The library has at least one of every SHRHS yearbook from 1974 - 2023. We also have the Charltonian Yearbooks from Charlton High School between 1959 - 1974, but are missing 1960.
If you have a copy of the 1960 Charltonian that you would be willing to donate, please contact Mrs. Briere @ sbriere@dcrsd.org. Thank you!
Terry Salonis ('91) opens Always Hope Counseling
My name is Terry (DeSantos) Salonis, graduate of Shepherd Hill, class of 1991. I’m a licensed maternal mental health psychotherapist, certified perinatal therapist, and an EMDR trained clinician. I’m the owner of Always Hope Counseling, a private practice dedicated to supporting women’s mental health needs throughout their pregnancy, birth, and post-partum journey.
My approach to therapy is rooted in trauma-informed and cognitive-behavioral practices, with specialized training in Eye-Movement-Desensitization-Reprocessing (EMDR), FLASH, Mindfulness, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, dedicated towards perinatal/women's mental health. I incorporate insights from neurobiology to help clients understand the mind-body connection and identify any patterns that may be keeping them stuck in past trauma, fear, anxiety, and depression.
Reaching out for help and support is often the hardest step to healing. No matter what their struggles are, how tired a mom is, how many negative thoughts they have, or how hopeless they feel, my goal is to work with all perinatal women and work through these struggles and find a solution that will help them find their way to live “their very best life”.

Tim Cormier (Class of '00) Riding in Pan Mass Challenge to support Team AJ
Hello, everyone! Tim Cormier chiming in here, member of the class of 2000, current English teacher at Shepherd Hill. Once again in 2024, I have decided to turn my love of cycling into an opportunity to raise money for a really great cause. I’m taking on the Pan Mass Challenge; and this year I’m riding for Team AJ.
Team AJ was formed this year to support AJ Congdon, the young son of my dear Shepherd Hill colleague and friend, Jamie Congdon. The Congdons are an incredible, loving, and joyful family. They enjoy fun at the beach, skiing in the mountains, cruising in the pontoon boat, and fishing on the lake with many friends and family. In September of last year, the family was shocked and saddened to learn that AJ, at 8 years old, was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous brain tumor. With strength and determination, the family has adjusted to a new routine. AJ is being treated by doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital. AJ’s innate energy and zest for life is apparent as he fights his fight without complaint, tears, or fear. This incredibly happy, sports loving boy is still as sweet, affectionate and funny as ever.
The PMC has raised nearly a billion dollars since 1980 and what is phenomenal about this huge event is that 100% of the donations goes directly to Dana-Farber. All of the life-saving research and treatments take money and I would appreciate any donation you might be able to make to support me and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I am committed to reaching my goal of raising at least $6,000. Please consider donating to this most excellent charitable event.
You can support Team AJ and donate online by visiting my PMC web page, profile.pmc.org/TC0406, searching for Tim Cormier on the PMC website, or simply scanning the QR code shown above.
Thank you for your time, your consideration, and your support.
Sincerely,
Tim Cormier

Ashley Harvey, ('22) Speaks to Spanish Classes with Ashley Racicot ('11)
On Thursday, May 30th, two of our alumni worked together to put together creative programming for the students in our Spanish program. Ashley Racicot (Class of 2011) has been a Spanish teacher at Shepherd Hill for the last seven years. Her former student Ashley Harvey (Class of 2022) reached out with some exciting updates, and the two worked together to make a plan for Ashley to come and present to students who are currently learning language at Shepherd Hill.
Ashley spoke to students in Spanish 1-4 (completely in the target language) about her background with language learning, how it has continued through college and about her recent study trip to the Dominican Republic. Because of her AP Score and Massachusetts State Seal of Biliteracy at graduation, Ashley entered Worcester State University in Fall 2022 with 15 credits in Spanish - just a few short from a minor! Now, she is double majoring in English and Spanish with a minor in Theater. This semester she was admitted into Alpha Mu Gamma, the language honor society, and now serves as secretary. She also received the Dr. Dorothy A. Escribano Award for a sophomore or junior student who displays academic excellence and improvement in their Spanish abilities.
The students of all levels loved hearing about how Ashley got her start speaking Spanish at DMS and SH, and they enjoyed hearing about her trip to the Dominican Republic as well.
We can’t thank Ashley Harvey enough for reaching out to Ashley Racicot and offering to come present to the students, and we hope that this will be the first of many successful language presentations and panels here in Dudley-Charlton.

Woodstock Academy Invites Fellow Class of 1974 Graduates to their 50th Reunion
Dear Class of 1983,
We extend this invitation to you all with a warm welcome and a hopeful heart. As we gather for this special occasion, I can't help but feel the absence of over 80 of our classmates. Let's not allow this void to linger; instead, let's reach out and extend this invitation to them, urging them to join us in this reunion.
Together, we can make this gathering even more memorable by reconnecting with old friends and creating new memories with those who may have drifted away. So, please, extend this invitation to our missing classmates, and let's ensure that our reunion is a celebration of friendship, camaraderie, and the enduring bond we share as the Class of 1983.
Looking forward to seeing you all there, together, as one reunited class.
Warm regards,
41st year Class Reunion Committee
