Mrs. Helms, who recently stepped down from her position as Lake Forest District 67 Board President, will complete the remainder of Dr. Schabacker’s term on the District 115 board. She will join board members Jenny Zinser, John Venson, David Burns, Sally Davis, Dewey Winebrenner, and myself in the provision of governance and oversight for Lake Forest Community High School District 115 on behalf of our community.
Reflecting on her previous District 67 service, Mrs. Geraghty Helms shared, “While I’m sad to be moving on, I know that District 67 is in good hands with a strong board, and moving to the high school felt like a new challenge and opportunity to serve the community as my own children move toward high school.”
Mrs. Helms's experience on the Lake Forest District 67 board and tenure as Board President will be invaluable to our work in District 115. Her deep understanding of the educational landscape in our community, along with her focus on fiscal responsibility, will benefit all the residents of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. I’m excited to have Annie’s insight and dedication to our communities on our Board as we continue the work on behalf of our students.
As a District, we are fortunate to have so many willing and capable people like Annie in our community who generously volunteer their time and talents. We are grateful to all who applied for this position.
