Dear Mill Creek Families,
Welcome to May at the Creek! We are excited for all the spring events that are part of our Mill Creek traditions. Please see important dates and times listed below. You will also receive information from your child's teacher regarding any additional fun that will be had this month.
Next week we celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Our Mill Creek staff works determinedly all year long to make sure our Cougars receive an amazing education. Let's celebrate these hardworking individuals. Please see the special section below that includes ways you can support the PTA in showing the love. A kind thank you note from your child is a wonderful gift for our staff.
Every May we share any staffing changes that will occur in the upcoming school year. Mr. Gerhart and Mrs. Kinkade are both returning to fourth grade. Mrs. Michelle James will be joining us from Shepard Elementary in second grade. We are currently in the hiring process for a new fifth grade teacher and assistant principal. Mrs. Nunamaker will be moving to St. Louis and teaching fourth grade. Mrs. Byler in the Media Center will be leaving to advocate for students at the Capitol. Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Knutson, and Mrs. Moreland will all be retiring. Please join us in wishing them much rest and joy in this next stage of life!
