Check Out This Week's Culture Card
Arab Americans live all over the United States, but most live in just 10 states, including Illinois. Big cities like Los Angeles, Detroit, and New York City are home to a lot of Arab American families. These places are full of culture, traditions, and amazing stories!
Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Vaccination Report
Recently, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) published data on their website that shows measles vaccination rates across schools in Lake County. Some Zion schools were listed as having lower vaccination rates. We have been working closely with the Lake County Health Department to review and reconcile the data to ensure it accurately reflects our schools.
Our top priority is the health and safety of our students, and we are committed to keeping our families informed as we work through this process.

- Beulah Park Elementary's family carnival was an evening where families came to the school to enjoy carnival-style games. The event was connected to the PBIS and Capturing Kids' Hearts programs, promoting positive behavior and relationship-building.
- The ZESD 6 stakeholder advisory group came together Thursday evening in the ZCMS cafeteria. Each school invited a small group of parents and staff members to join their building's principal in reviewing school data and planning for the next school year.
