Meaux Elementary December News
December 2024
Holiday Concert
Our annual Holiday Concert will be presented to the public on Wednesday, December 18th at 1:45 pm in the school gym. Our 4th and 5th-grade students have been working diligently under the guidance of Mrs. Lisa Blaney, music teacher, on their performance. We hope that you will be able to join us for this festive event. Due to limited seating, siblings of our band and music students who attend Meaux Elementary will not be allowed to attend at this time. A school performance for our student body is planned for a different time during the day.
December Meaux Model Students
December Meaux Model Students were announced at a school assembly on Friday, November 22nd. Our PBIS schoolwide discipline model recognizes students (one from each homeroom) each month who have exhibited the qualities of outstanding students. These students will have a special Parent lunch on Thursday, December 19th. Congratulations, students!
4-H & Jr. BETA Working Together
This holiday season our Jr. BETA Club and 4-H club are teaming up to donate gently used items to the Christian Center in Kaplan. Items in need are clothes of all sizes (children and adults), household items (plates, cups, pots, Tupperware, etc.), books, and toys. This project is also extended to our faculty and staff. All donations should be turned in by Wednesday, December 13th. Thank you to all for your participation and have a blessed holiday season.

APEX a Huge Success!
Once again, this year, our students participated in APEX classroom lessons focused on future leaders! They learned the importance of leadership and leadership qualities. Meaux Elementary would like to thank the donors who supported our students in this special event. The culminating glow run was fabulous with many parents attending to help tally laps and cheer on their runners. At last count, earnings totaled just over $32,000. These funds will be used for instructional materials, operating expenses, motivational incentives for students, faculty and staff, and other expenditures that are not funded through other sources.
Fall Into Reading Event Enjoyed by Many
Thank you to the many parents, grandparents, and other family members who took the time to share a favorite book with our students while also enjoying the fabulous fall weather on Friday, November 22nd.
