Report Cards
Your child's report card and teacher comments will be MAILED on June 12th to the primary address listed on our registration screen. If you do not receive your mailed copy by June 21st please contact our office. We will hold any report cards that are returned through the postal service. You can also access your child's marks by logging into the SMCPS Home Access Center (HAC).
If your address has changed and the report card is returned as "undeliverable", an updated proof of residency may be requested.
Missing Materials?
If your child does not attend school on the last day, his/her belongings will be held in the main office until June 24th. You can call the school to make arrangements to collect items. We will not be responsible for unclaimed items after this date.
Meal Accounts
If your child will continue in a school in SMCPS, his/her meal account will remain active at the beginning of the 2024-25 school year. This means that the account balance will transfer to the new school year (positive or negative).
If you are moving and your child has a balance due, please make arrangements to make a payment before requesting his/her records.
If your child has money on the account, you can request a refund of the balance by completing a simple survey. HERE IS THE LINK.
Please keep in mind that free/reduced price meal applications must be completed annually to determine continued access to this benefit.
Registration for 2024-25
Students who attended Leonardtown Elementary in Grades PK - 5 through the end of this school year will be automatically rolled into the next grade level.
Pre-Kindergarten:
Any person who has a child who meets the age requirement (4 years old on/before September 1, 2024) is invited to submit an application for the SMCPS Pre-K program. This is a full-day program offered to families who meet income eligibility standards. Applicants must provide proof of residency and income eligibility documentation.
Please encourage your neighbors and friends with age-eligible children to investigate this option early. Details about the program and selection process can be found on the SMCPS Website.

All new-student registrations:
A list of the required documents and links to fillable on-line registration forms are available by visiting the SMCPS and clicking on "registration".
