EJMS Families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful week! We had a great time at the annual tailgate with a huge crowd of students and families. Although we didn’t get the win, it didn’t keep everyone from having a great time. We are proud of how well all of our students represented themselves at the tailgate and thank you to the many parent volunteers who helped make it a successful event!

Midterms Available and Accessing Grades through IC Parent Portal

The first Nine Weeks Midterm grade reports are available through Parent Portal as of Friday, September 20th. Do you need help with Infinite Campus Parent Portal? Don’t know how to check on your child’s grades? Check out this IC Parent Portal Grades Doc for help.

Behavior Point System

We are approaching the time for each grade level to have a quarterly incentive reward. Students must have at least four out of a possible five points in order to attend reward days, field trips, and dances throughout the year. The graphic has additional details explaining how students can lose and earn points back.

Notes from the Nurse

Kids are starting to come to me more and more feeling like their heart is racing, dizzy, or with an upset stomach. Often, this is due to their consuming several energy drinks a day while at school or right before school. What they are putting into their bodies can have a huge effect on them. Please be aware of energy drinks that your students may be getting and talk with them about what drinking these can do to their growing bodies.

Connect Jaguar to Student

Students in Ms. Becknell's, and all other arts classes, used their work ethic skills of problem-solving, creative thinking, persistance, and perseverance to complete the Graduate Profile wikki challenge on Wednesday.

It was a great night for some Football!

What an awesome tailgaite we had on Wednesday night. Huge thanks to the PTO for hosting and providing some hotdogs, photo ops, and fun! The team had a good showing against West and we had a great turnout to cheer on the Jags! Thanks to all who came to support our football team!

Pizza from PTO

The ArtSquad enjoyed a pizza lunch thanks to our teacher winners of the walk-through scrabble challenge. The lunch was also in celebration of Lora Thompson, who has been a long term substitute while our ag science teacher is on maternity leave. Thanks, Lora for a job well done. We love having you as an EJMS Jaguar!
