Hayes Elementary Weekly Update
Dear Hayes Families,
Happy almost-March! We’re so proud of our students for working hard and completing their iReady Reading assessments. Their dedication to growth and learning is inspiring! If your child hasn’t finished yet, they will have an opportunity to wrap up next week.
Speaking of next week, we are excited to kick off March is Reading Month! We have a fantastic lineup of activities planned to celebrate the joy of reading, including guest readers, special theme days, and classroom challenges. Be on the lookout for a calendar of events coming home soon. Let’s make this month a celebration of literacy and a reminder of how books can take us on incredible adventures!
Kindergarten & Young 5s Registration Starting March 1, registration will be open for our incoming Kindergarten and Young 5s students! If you have a child ready to start school in the fall or know someone who does, please encourage them to visit the district website for more information on how to enroll. We can’t wait to welcome our newest Hayes Huskies!
Character Trait of the Month: Integrity
For March, we are focusing on integrity—doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. We will be sharing stories, having classroom discussions, and recognizing students who demonstrate honesty and strong moral character. Talk with your child about what integrity means and how they can show it at school and at home.
As always, thank you for your partnership and support. Let’s make it a great week at Hayes!
Warm regards,
Mrs.Broome
