Dating violence is more common than you may think, especially among teens and young adults: 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before becoming adults. And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors.

Each February, young adults and their loved ones nationwide raise awareness about teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM). This annual, month-long effort focuses on advocacy and education to stop dating abuse before it starts.

As part of our dual obligation to educate students and ensure their safety when at school, Vista Unified has updated its cell phone policies for the 2024-25 school year. Elementary and middle school students will be prohibited from using personal electronic devices, such as cell phones and smart watches, while on school campus. Students in grades TK-8th grade will be required to turn off all personal devices and store them away in their backpacks while on campus.

Our intensive this year features a focused approach; PUPS will learn one fantastic hip-hop dance and one bow dance from the Iron Wolf Dance Ensemble. PUPS will also have the amazing opportunity to perform with Iron Wolf Dance Ensemble in the Iron Wolf Dance Ensemble Showcase in the MVHS Theatre!
