WC News
Here's to a Groovy Year!
Ending October in Style!
This month has been filled with a lot of fun activities and great learning, both at Ward Central and throughout the District. However, in just the last week at WC so much has happened that we just have to share with you guys. First up, is the Trunk or Treat event that took place in our gym. Multiple departments from the school, community members, and our very own PTO put together booths and invited every student from Ward Central to come and get some candy. The event was fantastic, and the booths were brilliant, everyone who was involved in putting them together went above and beyond to make it a super special day.
The school was also full of excellent learning, as it always is. One excellent example came from third-grade where the students had to complete a series of creative and logical problems in order to complete a fun challenge. The students were engaged throughout and had a lot of fun!
A Special Guest
Our Kindergarten students were incredibly lucky this week to receive a visit from a local celebrity, Craig O'neill, and two of his associates from Baldwin and Shell. The students were treated to a brilliant read aloud performance of the wonderful children's book, The Gruffalo.

From the Nurse
Please remember that any and all medications, whether it be over the counter, prescribed, or inhalers, must be brought to the health room by an adult. No medication should be sent with your student for any reason.
Thank you.
Inside Recess
Indoor recess happens when weather conditions or safety concerns prevent outdoor play. During this time, students enjoy activities like board games, creative projects, and interactive games in a safe, engaging environment.
Our goal is to provide a fun and active break for your child, even indoors. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Counselor Connection!
We are excited about a great year at Ward Central! If you need anything, please reach out!
Mrs. Smith and Mrs. James
Change of clothes Procedure
This is for all students Pre-K through 4th grade!
Car-Rider Drop Off
Thank you to EVERYONE for helping us adjust to the new car-rider drop off procedure. We really can't express how grateful we all are for your patience and adaptability as we adjusted how the car rider line operates to enhance student safety. The first day may not have been super smooth or problem free, but after reflecting on the issues we were able to make small changes to make it run so much smoother.
