Life Science with Ms Baker, RG02, christine.baker@k12.dc.gov
This week students continued their studies of natural selection. We saw how whales changed over time. The students measured pictures of fossils that they will see next week in person. They compared convergent evolution with coevolution. Next Tuesday we go on our field trip rain or shine. Students need to pack a lunch, a pencil or pen, and bring a metro card. If it is nice, we will eat out on the National Mall. The students will have a packet to complete that will be graded.
Math 7 and 8 with Mr Walton, RG01, sean.walton@k12.dc.gov
Math 7 continues to find missing solutions in real world problems including inequalities in unit 7 (Lesson 13-15). Students are encouraged to work on teacher assigned lesson on “Solve multi-step equations”, “Understand Multi-step equations”, or “Practice: Write and solve equations”.

All students will have their weekly homework on PEAR assessment to prepare for CAPE. This will be student’s 3rd homework lesson assigned on PEAR (3/11, 3/18, and 3/25). All students will be expected to pass their 25th I-Ready lesson or their 9th I-Ready lesson for term 3.
Please continues to reach out for any questions or concerns.
