The Lion's Share
November 3, 2023
From the Principal . . .
It was great to see everyone at the fall carnival. Seeing all of our students smiling, laughing and having fun with their families and teachers was fabulous. I think I spent a lot of the night walking back and forth to the "jail". Luckily, I had a few students who "bailed me out". It is great when our community comes together for events.
A huge thanks to our PTO and Dads' club as well as our many parents who donated time, energy, and supplies to make this a great event.
Our Dads' Club will be hosting Cosmic Bingo in December. More info will be coming soon!
We are also incredibly excited to announce that our school letter grade from the state is an A. We work daily to grow and learn and couldn't be more proud of the hard work our staff and students have put into each learning opportunity.
Thanks,
Andrea Emerick
Principal

FREE for 4th Graders
Calling all families with a 4th grader in the house! For an entire year, your 4th grader and your family have free access to hundreds of parks, public lands and seas. Get your pass here: https://everykidoutdoors.gov/index.htm.
Note: The pass is valid for the duration of the 4th grade school year through the following summer (September - August). Overview: https://store.usgs.gov/faq#4th-Grade-Pass
Why fourth graders?
“We chose fourth graders because research shows that kids ages nine to 11 are beginning to learn about the world around them. They’re open to new ideas, and they are likely to connect to nature and our history.
We offer the pass to fourth graders every year. Over time, every kid can get a free pass to explore our country.” Everykidoutdoors.gov
