This E-Blast is full of school news and school-related community announcements that are not building specific. All announcements that interest families of multiple schools are published here, allowing each individual school to focus their e-blasts on announcements that are specific to their families only.

Please email any submissions to All_SchoolsNews@WaylandPS.Org no later than end of day on Friday for distribution on the following Wednesday. All Schools News is published every other week during the summer.

The Cell Phone Working Group is charged with examining the current cell phone practices and expectations in the district and coming up with recommendations for improvement. As a part of this work, they are surveying all WPS families to get feedback on our current expectations and practices.

In support of this effort we ask that you please complete the applicable survey below by 1/30/25.

Families with children that will be 5 years of age by August 31, 2025 may pre-register their child(ren) for Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.

The pre-registration link will be accessible on the Kindergarten Information website starting February 1, 2025. We request that you pre-register your child by February 14, 2025 so that we may start to determine school placement, class size, and transportation needs for the incoming Kindergarteners. NO registration documents are needed at this time.

Notes:

Families interested in the Spanish Immersion Kindergarten program still need to pre-register their Kindergarteners.

Families unsure of their Kindergarten enrollment decision at this time may still pre-register.

Dates: 29 days of fun and learning this summer will run from 9:00 am -3:30 pm at the Loker Elementary School for Pre-K through Grade 7

Are you familiar with Wordpress? Wayland PTO is looking for a district-wide website administrator to manage the website.

Each school PTO manages its own content, but the district website administrator grants edit rights and manages the architecture of the website. The role requires minimal time and is fully remote. Please email WaylandSchoolsPTO@gmail.com if interested.

Wayland PTO is excited to release the new and improved Membership Toolkit, Wayland PTO’s Family Directory accessible through an app (Apple App Store | Google Play) or online . The directory now includes all current families in Wayland Public School and more complete information.
