The Renton High School
Weekly Update 10.25.2024
Happy Friday, RedHawkS,
I hope you are well and ready for the weekend. As we enter the last few weeks before the end of the first trimester (Nov 27), when grades will become official and entered on student's transcripts, now is the time for our students to check their grades and have conversations with their teachers. We know that our students sometimes need our help, and we hope every RHS student has a trusted adult they can go to if they need support or assistance in having those conversations. In addition, your support is greatly appreciated. If you haven't already, please talk with your student about their grades and what they can do improve the grades they (or you) aren't happy with. Please remember that we have tutoring in our Homework Help Center (see info below) every Tuesday and Thursday until 3:30 pm. You can also plan for your student(s) to attend our upcoming Scholar Saturday on November 9. These opportunities are part of how we show we our care for our students. If there is anything we can do to support you in this, please reach out to your student's teachers, counselor or administrator. We're glad to help.
Attached are a couple pictures of our Cross-County team at a City of Renton youth cross country event last weekend. Our students continually amaze me and to see our students out in the community supporting healthy activities with our future RedHawkS is very special. Thanks to cross country coach and social studies teacher Mr. King for your leadership.
As a reminder, thereb is no school for students next Friday, November 1.
Please see the important information below and as always, we welcome and appreciate your feedback. Have wonderful weekend!
Drew O'Connell

Our next Scholar Saturday will be November 9, 2024, and we hope to see even more RedHawkS there!
