Curriculum Night
Buckingham’s Curriculum and Connection Night takes place next week, on Thursday, September 19th from 5:45 to 7:15. This event is for parents and caregivers, and we look forward to seeing everyone there. Teaching Teams are working together to prepare for classroom sessions, and specialists will be available throughout the evening to share about various supports and enrichment opportunities.
The evening will begin at 5:45 with a community gathering in the gym, where all staff will be introduced. Our administrative team and PTA will share about Buckingham’s focus areas for this year and a few ways we are excited to connect with and hear from families during the school year.
Afterward, you can meet your child’s teacher, receive important information about the school year, and connect with other families and our talented specialist team. Each teacher will host two 25-minute sessions (6:15-6:40 and 6:50-7:15) to accommodate families with multiple children. Mark your calendars for this important community event.
Congratulations, families on a successful start to our school year!
Join Us for VIP Recess on September 27th
We are kicking off the new year with a new event, Bring Your Very Important Person (VIP) to Recess! Play and social development is an important part of every school day and we look forward to sharing this kid favorite time of day with our families. Complete the form to sign up to join us on September 27th at your child's designated grade level recess (see times listed below). Signing up in advance will help us plan ahead. All family members in attendance will need to sign in through our visitor management system on the day of the event with their driver's license. Plan ahead and arrive early (15 minutes prior to your scheduled recess) as signing in takes time. Families will receive an email with reminder details and helpful tips the day prior to the event. We are excited to come together with our students and families for a recess full of fun! Prior to recess, school team members and our Buckingham PTA will share an overview of volunteer opportunities at Buckingham. Our Buckingham PTA is sponsoring treats and a photo booth at Recess for VIPs and students. Bring on the joy!
Get Ready to Walk and Roll in October!
Volunteer Opportunies
We currently have a few ways you can volunteer at Buckingham
- Running club starts September 19th and is held every Thursday during lunch recess for every grade. This is a PTA sponsored club and are needing 2 volunteers every Thursday to assist in tracking students laps.
- Picture day is coming up on September 23rd and we are needing a few volunteers to assist with walking classes to and from getting photographs taken.
- Obstacle-A-Thon is a school wide fundraiser scheduled for October 2nd this year. PTA is planning this event in the fall this year so the funds raised can be spent on this school year. In past years, this has been a springtime fundraiser.
PTA Update
Joining PTA is a great way to contribute to our school community and stay in the loop of school happenings! If you would like to learn more about PTA get on our email list by filling out this form.
Our PTA Kick Off meeting will be on Tuesday Sept 24th at Buckingham. We invite people to arrive between 5-5:15 so we can start promptly at 5:15 and end at 6:30. Kids are welcome and pizza will be provided. Please RSVP here so we can plan accordingly.
We are busy gearing up for Run Club, VIP Recess, Obstacle-a-thon, and Fall Family Fun Night and would love your help! Reach out to us at Buckinghambroncospta@gmail.com with any questions or to get involved.

K-2 Arrivals in Back Lot
Kindergarten-2nd grade students who do not ride the bus can be dropped off behind the school in the back lot. To help us keep the parking lot as safe and efficient as possible:
- Please park in the parking spaces if you prefer to assist your child or say longer good-byes.
- If walking your child to the gate, please park in the designated parking area.
- The curbside is for quick drop and go only.
Drivers, please remain in the car and have all children exit on the curbside.
Thank you for helping us establish an important procedure for the safety of all in our community.
Late Arrivals
If you are dropping your student off after 7:45am we ask that you park in a parking space and walk your student into the office and sign them in with Ms. Margaret. Please do not drop them at the curb and drive away. We want to insure safety for all students and make sure correct documentation is in place.
