April 2025
Days Off for the Month of April
Friday, April 04- School Closed
Friday April 25- No Students
CMAS, PSAT, AND SAT DATES
CMAS and PSAT/SAT are important tests that help the school to make decisions about our curriculum, schedule structure, student placement and grade-level promotion. The SAT is used as a college entrance exam, and the PSAT 9 and PSAT 10 are great practice leading up to this test. The students have been working hard in their classes to prepare, and we are excited to see the results of their efforts!
We appreciate your support in having your students in school. Please avoid scheduling appointments for your child during the school day April 7 through April 17. Below is the schedule of the specific days that different grade levels will be testing.

Karaoke and Game Night: High School Student Council invites all 8th through 12th grade students to a fun night of Karaoke and board games. The event will take place on Thursday, April 3rd from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the UCPS Commons. This event is free of charge.
Movie Night for 8th through 12th grade students only. This event is Thursday, April 24th starting at 7:00 p.m. in the UCPS Gym. The movie name will be announced in the PackTracks. This event is free of charge.
National Junior Honor Society
National Junior Honor Society will be hosting our annual Penny War fundraiser the week of
April 7-11th. NJHS chose A Woman's Place to donate money to this year. The Penny War is a friendly competition in which grades compete with each other to raise the most money. Students should bring pennies to donate to their grade's jar. Students may also bring silver coins and bills to "bomb" other grades' jars. The "bombs" subtract from the grade's total amount of penny donations. Start searching for those coins to donate!
Tardies and Sign-In Procedures
Being in school is very important for the student to have success. We have noticed an increase in the student absences as well as tardies, both in the morning and throughout the day. Please speak with your students about the importance of arriving at school and their classes on time. Students who are more than 10 minutes late in the morning MUST have an adult sign them in. Please plan trips and absences for days that school is not in session.
