My name is Angela Hughes, and I am proud to be able to represent our PTSA as president again for the 2020-21 school year. My husband, Ben, and I are the parents of two boys, Dean an incoming freshman at the University of Texas at Austin and Noah, an incoming sophomore at MHS.

As we approach the new school year, we will not experience it as we ever have in the past. Together, as parents and community members of McMillen, we can navigate these uncertain times and make McMillen High School the best environment for our students, staff and parents that it can be. Together, we can be the reason someone feels welcomed, loved, heard, seen and supported. I ask you to join me as a member of the McMillen PTSA.

PTSA is not an exclusive club defined by one person. We are a vibrant group of people from all walks of life, representing the diversity within our community. If you care about your community’s schools and students, you belong in the PTSA.

McMillen HS PTSA benefits as a result of the placement of a shoes and clothing donation bin at our school in the parking lot. We are paid by the pound for each pound of shoes, clothing, belts, purses, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys and stuffed animals placed in our bin. Please help our PTSA raise funds for school projects, teacher training, new technology and to generally support the children who attend our school.
