Student-Led Conferences
Student-Led Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 6th from 1:00-3:30 and from 4:30-7:30.Classroom teachers sent out invitations last week to ALL families, but links can also be found below.
This conference will be a true Celebration of Learning and look a little different than March conferences have looked in the past. Parents/Guardians are asked to sign up for a block of time. During this period, students will review their goals with you, highlight work, and showcase what they have achieved since October. There will be 4-6 viewing stations set up in each classroom. Teachers will transition between groups during this celebration and assist as needed. Typically this will take about 10-15 minutes; however, families are welcome to come in anytime during the window they have reserved.
Please know our special education staff will be available for walk-ins during the entire day. Specials teachers will be rotating between assigned buildings; however, if you’d like to speak to someone specifically just let us know in the main office and we will have them follow up with you.
Our goal is for 100% of students and families to attend this event. We look forward to celebrating your child’s learning with you.
6th-Grade Career Fair
This week, our 6th graders at Twain had visitors stop by from the high school for a Career Fair. The high schoolers did a fantastic job introducing our 6th graders to many great professions. Some of the occupations that students learned about include welding, woodworking, teaching, robotics, business, baking, and a brief introduction to the medical field. Our morning was full of engaging hands-on activities where students had many chances to use tools real professionals use daily in their field of work. The amazing thing about this experience is that now our sixth graders have more insight into what courses they might want to take when they reach high school and what profession interests them. Our district Career Navigators and high school students did a tremendous job facilitating the Career Fair. We thank you for making our morning memorable!
Reports Cards Are Coming Home on Wednesday

Family Game Night
On Wednesday, February 26th families joined us for our Family Game Night. Students were introduced to a variety of games that supported the areas of ELA & Math. After playing each game they were able to select one to bring home free of charge. They also received a snack. Everyone had a great evening! This event was sponsored by Title I.
Spring Vocal Concert
Last Tuesday, students in grades 1-3 held their vocal concert at Fraser High School. This year's theme was, What a Colorful World! As you can see from the picture below, the kids looked great and sounded even better. We truly appreciate Mr. Reeves and Mrs. Esquible for planing such a wonderful event for our families and look forward to their next concert!

Twain Parking Lot Reminders
The North lot is NOT a drop-off/ pick-up zone. It is for parking only. We MUST keep the loop open for busses and emergency vehicles. This rule applies to everyone, so please be cooperative and follow it.
The large, central lot has two lanes: a drop-off/ pick-up lane on the outside of the loop and a driving lane on the inside.
Please note: Drivers MAY NOT get out of your car while in the outside drop-off/ pick-up lane. Your students must exit to the outside of the loop, and drivers must not exit the car to walk students up or pick them up. If you have younger children who need to be walked up or picked up at the door, you MUST park your car in one of the lots or on the street.
Smoking and pets are not permitted on school grounds. Please leave your pets at home for the safety and comfort of all of our students and families.
Please do NOT swear on school grounds. We are trying to set a positive example for behavior for our Twain Comets, and shouting and swearing at other drivers does not set the right example for our kids. We ask our students to be respectful, organized, cooperative, kind, and safe, and we expect those behaviors to be modeled by our parents, too.
