Special Board Meeting 01/21/25

Due to the resignation of a School Board Member, effective January 1, 2025, the Upper Moreland Township School District Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The purpose of this meeting is to fill the vacant board seat, and other matters which may come before the Board.

The Board is seeking resumes from qualified residents who wish to serve on the Upper Moreland Township School Board for a term ending December 1, 2025. Selected applicants for the vacant board seat will be invited to present their credentials for consideration before the Board of School Directors at this meeting. The Board is expected to take action on a candidate following interviews on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The meeting will be held at 6:30 PM at the Upper Moreland School District Administration Building located at 509 Davisville Road, Willow Grove, PA. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will have a rain date of Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

The Pennsylvania Public School Code of 1949 24PS3-322 defines eligible candidates as the following: “Any citizen of the Commonwealth having a good moral character, being 18 years of age or upwards and having been a resident of the district for at least one year prior to the date of his/her election or appointment shall be eligible to the office of School Director”.

Cover letters and resumes should be received no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 to Ms. Carol Boyle, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent either by US mail or email.

2. What would you like to accomplish in a 1-year term?
