Happy Sunday Pirates,
It was another great week at Swansboro High School. Highlights included the senior walk at all of our local schools, the piano concert, the Navigating Towards Excellence awards ceremony and the senior parade. Congratulations to all of our students who received recognition. Our staff had fun pranking the senior pranksters by parking in their spaces on Wednesday. Our students also participated in the first 2 days of exams and worked hard to show us what they learned this semester.
Everyone in the community is invited to join us tonight for the Class of 2024 Baccalaureate service at Bear Creek Baptist Church at 6:00 pm. This week will also include the final 2 days of exams and the Class of 2024 graduation ceremony on Friday. Parents of seniors should thoroughly review the graduation informational package to understand expectations for graduates and for details about the ceremony. Parents of seniors who earned a extra ticket to graduation from volunteering 5 times this year can pick up those tickets in the front office starting on Tuesday. Parents will be notified when report cards are ready for pick up which is dependent on test scores being received back from the state. This is our final Sunday newsletter of the 2023/2024 school year. Weekly newsletters and calls will resume on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Parents and students should note that our summer office hours will be from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday except for the week of July 1-5, 2024 when we will be open from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday but closed on July 4, 2024 in observance of Independence Day.
