Empowering Students
As we work together to support our students' growth, teaching personal responsibility is key. Encouraging students to take ownership of their work, their well-being, and their belongings helps build independence and accountability. Simple routines, like packing their own backpacks or organizing school materials, can make a big difference. These habits not only contribute to their success in the classroom but also prepare them for future challenges.
To that end, tomorrow (9/30) we will kick-off a new program at Wildwood entitled "Take a Look, Take a Book". At first recess, students will be encouraged to stop by the silver tables near our lunch shelter to "Take a Look" at our Lost-n-Found cart and recover any lost or missing items that may be there. Any student who "Takes a Look", whether they recover an item or not, can then browse, select, and keep 1 of the 100's of used books that will be displayed on the silver tables. It is our hope that this new program will promote personal responsibility in addition to fostering a love of reading.
Warmly,
Mr. Lynch

Birthdays at Wildwood
At Wildwood Elementary, we enjoy honoring students on their birthdays. Teachers take great pride in helping your child feel treasured on their special day. If you do feel the need to send something for your child, please do not send any food items or pass them out to students before or after school. Instead, consider sending small non-edible treats (stickers, pencils, etc.) or a small class gift such as a board game, book, or puzzle with your child's name and birthday on it.
By collectively following these guidelines, our birthday students will be celebrated and the wellness of all members of our Tiger family will be elevated
School Site Council (SSC)
Thank you to all of our School Site Council members that contributed to this year’s School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)! The draft version of our school’s SPSA is available now at this link. This plan will be provided to our community and Board of Education on 9/18/24 for discussion and again on 10/9/24 for approval.
