Our school is taking the My Energy Kit Challenge and has a goal to save at least 20,000 kilowatt-hours of energy. We’ll reach this goal when at least 100 families sign up for a FREE Energy Kit from Duke Energy and use it to make their homes energy efficient. These FREE kits contain LED bulbs, faucet aerators and other useful items that can make a big difference toward saving energy at home. When we meet the challenge our school will automatically win $250. Let’s get a head-start! Interested in being part of an amazing school district as a substitute Educational Assistant? This is a great opportunity to help support the needs of our students and buildings. The hourly rate of pay is $12/hr. Applicants must have a satisfactory FBI/BCI background check. On March 2, Maple Dale is welcoming author, Kate Klise

and her sister and illustrator, Sarah Klise! We are very excited to have them

come and share their talents with all our students. Thank you PTO!

Your family will be receiving an order form if you are interested in

buying a book(s) to have signed that day at school for your student(s).

You are under no obligation to buy. Only Blue Manatee purchased books

will be signed, due to author time constraints and volume.

Fact: Recycling any aluminium can help to save a great deal of energy, in fact, enough to run your home television for about three hours!

Toilet tissue accounts for 15 percent of deforestation. We throw away enough paper to make toilet paper for a lifetime. Can you spend an extra minute teaching your Kindergartner or other to use less toilet paper?

Dear Maple Dale Families,

We have all seen the terrible devastation as a result of the bush fires in Australia. We want to do something to help!

We are collecting spare change to benefit the wild animal rescue efforts in Australia. The donation bucket is in the office and will also be available at Cultural Heritage Night next week.

There will be collection buckets at both entrances next Friday. Help if you can! The need is critical.

Come support one of the biggest fundraisers for The Dragonfly Foundation. This event is put on by a talented team at Sycamore High School and features fashion designed and modeled by SHS students.

At Maple Dale Elementary, staff, parents, and students work as a team to promote success and provide a welcoming, safe, and positive learning environment for all.
