Existing Student Registration
All existing students, meaning those enrolled in a school within the Columbia County School District (CCSD) will need to complete student registration. This registration can be conducted online in your Parent Portal account and provides an opportunity for parents to review and update important information such as emergency contacts, residency, or medical information, among others.

No Make-up days due to Hurricane Helene
The Columbia County School District is committed to supporting staff and students in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. In an effort to effectively maximize the remaining instructional time we have left for this school year, there will be no make up days for school closures due to Hurricane Helene.

Limited Vending Options
Drink machines on campus are only available before school, after school, and during lunch periods.
Students are encouraged to bring refillable water bottles. We have water filling stations located around campus.

Students who took the ASVAB can pick up scores in the ROTC room, 211 during 1st, 2nd, and 7th period only.

Course Selection for 25-26 School Year
November 12th through November 15th students will receive their course selection sheets for the 2025-2026 school year in their English class. If a student does not have an English class on campus, they can go to 915-C.

Nutrition

Parent Portal
If you haven't signed up for a Parent Portal/Infinite Campus account yet, now is the time. You can check attendance, grades, assignments, and get progress & report cards. Parent Portal is also utilized to send out important information throughout the year. Click below for help with Parent Portal.
Student Sign Out Procedures
The front office can no longer accept phone call sign outs for students. All requests for students to leave campus must be in writing from the parent/guardian email on file in Parent Portal.
Any email request to leave campus will get a response. If you send an email and do not receive a response, please check the email address and re-send. We can not call a student for dismissal until an email has been verified by the office.
- Students with a paid parking pass can be signed out with a parent/guardian email to gthattendance@ccboe.net
- Students without a parking pass must be signed out from the front office in person.
- Students who need to ride a bus other than the assigned route number for their address, will need a parent/guardian email to gthattendance@ccboe.net
Attendance
Building Safety
All doors on campus are locked during the school day. All visitors must report to the front office.
Students should only be dropped off and picked up in the front car loop, not in the back of the building.
Change in Office Hours and Check Out Deadline
Front Office hours are 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM.
Student check outs end at 2:20 PM

GTHS placed 1st in the Region (4-AAAAAA) One Act Play Competition at the Porter Performing Arts Center in Covington, Georgia, on 10/23/24.
Four of our actors received individual accolades. They are:
- Noah Spark (Senator E.W. Higgins) was selected as ALL STAR CAST!
- Kailey Giles (Emily Wheelock Reed) was selected as ALL STAR CAST!
- Evan Bizzell (Joshua Moore) was selected as BEST ACTOR IN THE REGION!
- Rebekah Watson (Lily Whitfield) was selected as BEST ACTRESS IN THE REGION!
There will be a public showing of Alabama Story on Tuesday November 19th at 7:00 AM before the state competition that will be held on November 23rd. The performance is FREE but donations will be accepted.
We are so humbled by the experience, blessed to tell this historically-based story, and excited to go forward representing GTHS at State Competition for the first time.
