Section Speech Tournament at BHS, Volunteers Needed The tournament will start right after school at 3:15 PM and go until about 9:00 PM March 20. We are in serious need of student volunteers to assist with the facilitation of this tournament. Roles include directing competitors to their assigned classroom, helping with concessions, and cleaning up at the end of the tournament. Overall, students can volunteer for either 1.5 hours or 3 hours. While we do need assistance, we also have limited slots for volunteers (about 10-15), so it will be first-come, first-served when it comes to signing up.
All volunteers will also receive a free dinner as a thank you for their work. Recognizing that it will be Ramadan, we are serving food later in the evening. You are also welcome to watch the final rounds at the Speech Tournament (see students perform their own original speeches, many of whom will be National Finalists in their respective event).
