Welcome / Bienvenidos
Freedom Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the spring season. As we reflect on the past week, we are excited to share some wonderful highlights from our school community.
1. Collaborative Innovations:
This week, our music and 6th-grade math teachers joined forces with district coaches and an Apple representative to develop innovative lessons for our students. It's inspiring to see educators coming together to explore new ways of engaging and empowering our learners.
2. NJHS Induction Ceremony:
On Thursday, we celebrated a significant milestone as we hosted our NJHS induction ceremony for our 7th-grade students. It was a momentous occasion, filled with pride and excitement as we welcomed new members to our prestigious society. We are also thrilled to announce Emmanuel Borrayo as the NJHS President for the upcoming year. Congratulations, Emmanuel!
3. Spotlight on Innovation:
We are incredibly proud to share that our very own Mr. Saracini and a few of his students, Ximena and Leo, have been selected to showcase the innovative practices happening here in District 100 with our local legislators. They will be participating in Student Advocacy Day, where the goal is to advocate for educational funding by sharing the impactful initiatives taking place in our schools. It's a testament to the dedication and creativity of our staff and students, and we couldn't be more proud.
Thank you to all that donated for teacher appreciation week! We are so lucky to have such an amazing staff! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
