New Albany Intermediate School
Family Update- April 29, 2024
Dear Intermediate Families,
We are incredibly proud of our Fifth Grade Choir and our Sixth Grade Choir for their outstanding performances at this weekend's "Music in the Parks" competition in Mason, Ohio. Our fifth grade students placed first with an excellent rating and our sixth grade choir placed second with an excellent rating as well- just one point behind our fifth grade choir! What an amazing achievement! Our NAIS students certainly represented our school community well before, during and after their performance. Thank you also to the many parent volunteers who donated their time to support our students on the bus, during the competition and at Kings Island. We couldn't give our students such amazing experiences without you. Go Eagles!
As we enter May we are moving fast and furious towards the end of the school year! Please note below important information from our NAIS PTO, including sign-ups for parent volunteers for Field Days, and upcoming dates and events for our school. It's also important to continue to pay attention to emails from your child's teaching team as they share details about specific events and trips that are unique to your child's team. Enjoy your week and we hope to see you at an school event very soon!
Thank you,
Megan Ballinger
Intermediate School Principal

Library Books
All library books are due back by May 6th to the NAIS library for this school year. If you have any questions or need to replace a lost or damaged book, please contact Mrs Lewis (lewis.37@napls.us). Thank you for helping us keep our collection complete!
Rising 7th Grade Students
New Albany Middle School believes strongly in the importance of giving back to our community and beyond. In the summer of 2017, NAMS families began participating in the Meals on Wheels delivery program. Our hope is that we can continue this program and the only way to do so is by inviting new families to join the program!
There is a strong need to provide meals for the elderly in our area. We have partnered with LifeCare Alliance’s Meals on Wheels program to help keep our aging neighbors in their homes...where they want to be. Our students have had the opportunity to physically see the “good” they are doing for their community by handing over a hot meal to someone in need. Families have adopted a route of 8-9 seniors (this can vary)
who we will deliver to Monday through Friday. Meal delivery takes place over the summer as well as the school year, commitment time is flexible. If you have a current 6th grader who will be moving up to the middle school next year, please click on this link to get more information about this program and submit your name, if you are interested

We are excited to host our annual "Field Day" in May! Parents will be able to sign up to volunteer at Field Day in the April 29th Family Newsletter.
