THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
Wasco Weekly
October 18, 2024
Wasco Families,
Wasco had a very exciting week, I hope you heard about it at home! On Wednesday, our all school assembly shared the theme of “Daring to Dream Big”. Our presenters found fun ways to reinforce our core values of working hard and doing the right thing. The acrobat bike riders shared stories of how their practice and perseverance leads to big success. With your help, we can encourage our Wasco students to have courage to try hard things and work hard to achieve their personal excellence.
On Thursday, Wasco Elementary School hosted the grand opening of our WE-GO-SWING, playground equipment that is accessible for all! This addition to our playground connects all of us. Thank you to D303 Superintendent Paul Gordon for leading our value of belonging and our Facilities Department for the care and direction to complete this project at our site. We would also like to thank The Recess Project and the Kiwanis of St Charles whose actions are creating GOOD in our community! They have goals for all area playgrounds and we hope you will support their efforts!
If you have a 5th grader, you should know that I highlighted their involvement in the project during our assembly. Back in 2021, these 5th grade students reached out to me and described the need. They planted an important seed and I was happy to highlight the importance of how dreams become reality!
Speech Acknowledging the contributors, including the fifth graders
