Classroom Guidance

School counselors provide classroom guidance lessons that facilitate student growth and development in the areas of educational, career, personal, and social development in four curricular content areas: Intrapersonal Effectiveness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Post-Secondary Education and Career Readiness, and Personal Health and Safety.

This month we are kicking off Guidance with our Howdy Lesson. During this lesson students learned who is their Alpha Counselor, Self-Referral Process, and High School Credit Expectations.

Students played Kahoot to test their knowledge of Counseling Services and High School Credit Classes.

Kindness Club

We are excited to bring back our Kindness Club. We will be meeting in the library twice a month on Fridays from 8:00-8:30.

Activities to include:

Spread kindness on campus
Provide campus tours to new students
Help with Socktober Drive (October)
Help with campus events
And so much more!

TRIO Talent Search

TRIO Talent Search is a program that provides students with college, career, and financial aid information for grades 6-12. Their mission is to help students pursue post-secondary education after high school graduation. Talent Search provides academic advising, career exploration, financial literacy, college readiness, field trips, tutoring and more!
