Thanksgiving Break

All Life School campuses and Central Office will be closed November 22-29 for Thanksgiving Break. We hope you will enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Veteran’s Day

Many of our campuses participated in Veteran’s Day celebrations and activities this past Monday, November 11th. By honoring our nation's heroes of past and present, students are practicing citizenship and global perspective. We are grateful for the many who have served our country!

Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month is an important time to honor and celebrate Indigenous leaders and their history. Reading together is a fun way to learn about and honor the Native American heritage of our country. Here is a list of books that celebrate Native American Heritage.


Holiday Celebrations - As we approach the holiday season, our campuses will be filled with activities, including class parties, Christmas programs and more. Be sure to stay in the know by joining Partners for Life!

Support Our New High School in Duncanville

Life School is gearing up for our newest high school in Duncanville, TX, with plans to open its doors in time for the 2027-28 school year! If you believe Life School will make an even more significant impact in our community by building this new high school in Duncanville, click here to learn how you can take action to support the project!

Re-enrollment Begins January 1st

Life School re-enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will begin January 1, 2025. With the 4-day school week calendar, we are experiencing increased interest in enrollment. If your child attends Life School, please watch your email for re-enrollment instructions so you can act quickly in January to reserve your child's seat for next year.

Enrollment for new students will begin February 1, 2025. If you have family or friends interested in attending Life School next year, please share their contact information by completing this referral form or have them Life School Enrollment and request information.

Fall Festival Family Participation

Fall Family Nights were a huge success, thanks to our staff and families! Parents donated candy and supplies, volunteered, and attended in record numbers! Thank you for your continued engagement in your child’s education. When parents and teachers collaborate, student success is sure to follow!

Math in the Real World

Many students wonder, "When will I ever use this math in real life?" The truth is, math is everywhere! This holiday season, there are plenty of opportunities to show your students how practical math can be in everyday situations:

  • Baking: Holiday treats are a perfect way to practice math together. Use recipes to explore fractions and measurements as you bake up festive treats as a family.

  • Shopping: Holiday sales and discounts are everywhere. Help your child calculate savings and practice using decimals to find the best deals on their favorite items.

  • Dining Out: Tipping is an important part of eating out. When the bill comes, involve your student in calculating the tip to practice percentage math and build a useful life skill.

By connecting math to real-life situations, students can see how valuable these skills really are!

Planning for College - Free Resources

Life School is dedicated to preparing students for life beyond graduation—whether that means college, a career, or military service. This month, we are highlighting valuable resources to support college-bound students:

  • Free Tuition Institutions: Several two- and four-year colleges in Texas offer programs allowing students from low- and middle-income families to pursue higher education without tuition fees, providing quality education without financial burdens. Click here for more information.

  • HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities): Founded before 1964 to serve Black students, HBCUs often offer lower tuition rates than non-HBCU institutions. Click here for a list of nationally accredited HBCUs.

  • BigFuture: BigFuture is a free online planning tool that helps students explore careers, find colleges that fit their goals, and discover options for financing college. It’s an excellent resource for anyone planning their next steps after high school.

Creating a Love of Reading

Many of our high school LifeLeaders have recently been taking time from their day to visit our elementary campuses to read to the younger generation. By becoming role models, these older students inspire younger ones to develop a love for reading, showing them that reading is both fun and enriching. This mentoring helps build confidence in both groups: elementary students feel encouraged to explore books and express themselves, while high schoolers gain experience by practicing humility and social awareness. Through these connections, high school students help lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning and reading in their younger peers.
