Nohl Canyon Campout - Saturday, May 20th
Nohl Canyon Elementary's Annual Camp Roadrunner 2023
Who: Dads, Moms, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas, and Grandpas, and Students of Nohl Canyon
(elementary age siblings welcome to join)
When: Saturday, May 20 5pm - Sunday May 21 8am
Where: Field on Nohl Canyon Campus
Cost: FREE - MUST SIGN UP on Cheddar Up
*All Students must be accompanied by an adult
LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR CAMPOUT EVENT IS THURSDAY, MAY 18TH.
Campout AGENDA:
5 pm check in
6 pm pizza dinner
6:45 pm Doodlebug Adventures
8 pm glow party
9:25 pm Disneyland and Anaheim stadium fireworks
10 pm lights out
6-8 am donuts and clean up

Items will be collected during the Month of May and can be dropped off in the office OR next to Room 1.
CAASPP (SBAC Assessment): May 8th - 26th
May 8th - 26th, 8:00 am - 10:00 am (testing time)
CAASPP - The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is the state academic testing program. CAASPP is a system intended to provide information that can be used to monitor student progress and ensure that all students leave high school ready for college and career.
- CAASPP incorporates the Smarter Balanced Assessment Conscortium (SBAC), a standardized test consortium
- Students in 3rd - 8th grade, and 11th grade will take part in the SBAC.
- Students will be assessed in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. 5th grade students will also take the California Science Test
**** Please plan vacations and medical appointments around these dates (specifically 8-10 am each day)
Important reminders:
- Students should have a good night's sleep
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Bring their own earbuds/headphones (if they have them). School will supply to those who do not have their own.
- NO personal tech devices allowed during testing (this includes Smart Watches, Smart Phones..)

Cell Phone Use - "NO CELL, BELL to BELL"
1) NO CELL from BELL to BELL - cell phones need to be turned OFF and stored in students backpack from first bell to dismissal bell.
2) Students who need to contact parents/guardians are expected to come to the front office to make the phone call.
3) Students who do not follow the guidelines:
1st occurrence: warning - expected to place phone back in backpack
2nd occurrence: cell phone confiscated - Parent Pick-up in office
