CSDA November 2024 Newsletter

No Classes or Office Hours Tuesday, November 26th - Sunday, December 1st, 2024

It's costume measuring time!! You will see Miss Amanda W and Miss Tiffany popping into classes November 4-9 to measure your dancers. Please make sure your dancers are in proper dance attire so measurements will be accurate. If you know your dancer will be absent please schedule another day/time to be measured by emailing asmith@centerstagestudios.net.

Also, we need all dancers t-shirt and tights size. Please fill out this form to provide us with those sizes. This form is due by Sunday, November 17th.

If you are looking to purchase CSDA clothing or accessories or shoes for the Holiday season all orders need to be in by November 10th. This is to ensure plenty of time for shipping. Checkout our offerings on our online store located in your parent portal. Please note that embroidery is now a separate item that needs to be added to your order. It is located under featured items.

Today your Recital Fee will be posted in your portal and is due by December 1st. This fee covers your recital media, finale t-shirt and recital tights.

Reminder ~ Tuition is posted at the end of the month and is due the first class of each month. A $15.00 late fee will be assessed to any tuition payments received after the 15th of the month. Auto-pay will run on the 1st of the month for tuition and it will run again on the 13th. You can sign up for auto-pay at any time during the season.

Tuition is due August - May and classes run September - June. Monthly tuition is paid for the month prior.

If you referred a friend that signed up this season by November, please email asmith@centerstagestudios.net! One referral credit per student and friend must stay through May.

The theme this month around CSDA is about being thankful. It is so important to teach our kids about gratitude and what better way than to have them all fill out a turkey feather of what they are thankful for. Our Thankful Turkeys and leaves will be displayed in the dance room.

To show you, our dance family, we are thankful for you, this month we are hosting Discover Dance Days! All our current dancers can try another discipline, for free, they are not currently registered for. Aside from our most common ballet, tap and jazz class we offer many other styles like hip hop, breakin, musical theater, lyrical, modern, jumps/turns and acro. Sign up for your free trial class in your parent portal under register and click trial under the class name.

November Community: We are collecting food donations for the Plymouth & Bourne Food Pantries! Please bring in a canned or boxed items and leave it on or under the desk in the waiting room. Don't forget to write down your dancers name to be put into a raffle for some CSDA SWAG!! Donations need to be in by November 23rd and Drawing will be on FB November 25th.

We are also collecting any left over candy from Halloween! Drop your unwanted candy at either studio November 1st - 4th. Our Outreach team Members will be delivering the candy to local first responders and nursing homes.

We love celebrating our dancers in all aspects of their lives. If your dancer has done something great, send us an email along with a picture and we'll include it in the next newsletter.

Congratulations Faye Poremski for receiving a silver medal in point sparring at The Cervizzi Fall Invitational Karate Tournament last month.

Congratulations to Jacob Sears for getting the role of Young Simba in the PCIS production of the Lion King Jr.

Congratulations Ava Lane for receiving Jaguar of the week at PSMS. This is what they said about Ava! "Ava is always there to help a particular classmate in need. She encourages this classmate, helps get the classmate on track, and congratulates this peer when they succeed. She is empathetic and supportive."

Congratulations to Stella Bessette, Ava Newman and Annabelle Ouellette who performed with the Voyager International Chorus after rehearsing for the past 10 months!

Congrats Tyler Hartwell and Avery Joy for winning the "SWIM" Award at IBES representing: Stay Safe, Work Hard, Include All, Make Good Choices.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to all who made our Trunk or Treat a success - all the amazing dance families who created such fun creative trunks, our dancers and teachers for putting together a great show, and our wonderful sponsors who donated gift cards and candy to this event. Below is just a small recap of the day. Up next is the Plymouth Thanksgiving Parade on November 23rd.

Here are a few ways to help support the CSDA Outreach Team:

Shopping at Clements Market? Save your receipt and put in the desk drawer when you return to classes at the studio.

You can also create a Facebook fundraiser to benefit the Outreach Team!

*Absences for all dancers should be reported in your parent portal under attendance. If you would like to schedule a make up class you can write it in when reporting the absence.

* Tuition, Parent Portal, Online Store and Used Shoe questions can be emailed to Asmith@centerstagestudios.net

*Studio related questions or concerns and questions about dancers' progress and placement should be emailed to tiffany@centerstagestudios.net

*All Outreach/Leadership/Assisting questions should be emailed to tiffany@centerstagestudios.net -If an assistant has a last minute cancellation of their assistant class(es) please text the studio cell 774-343-9209.

*Absent Dancers*If your dancer will be absent please mark it in your parent portal under attendance. This is the best way to communicate the absence. If your dancer is absent from class for 2 consecutive weeks we will reach out to check in with you unless you put a reason when reporting the absence.

To view your dancer's classes log into your parent portal and click the camera icon under today's schedule. This will direct you to zoom where you will need to log into your zoom account. If you do not have a zoom account you can create one for free! After logging into zoom you will be directed into the zoom to watch your dancer.

*DSP Parent Portal App zoom info* When you log into your parent portal through the app click more on the bottom right corner. Then click studio calendar. On the calendar click your dancer's class and this will bring you to zoom.

For illnesses please follow the same policy as schools. Thank you to everyone who is already practicing this policy and zooming when needed!

We will be announcing this month what recital show your dancer will be in! Keep an eye out in our Studio Members Private Group. That is where we will post it. Once the show orders are released we will send out emails to families that are in multiple shows. Seniors and Advanced dancers will not receive an email. Your dances are in all 3 shows.

November is for being Thankful and Discover Dance Days! We are so thankful for our dancers <3
