Dear East Lee Middle School Community,
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to thank both our students and families for their dedication and support.

Let's continue to work together towards our goals. Whether it's revisiting previous goals or setting new ones, let's finish the year on a positive note.
Best regards,

AVID at East Lee Middle School
AVID
At East Lee Middle School, we are excited to share the incredible impact of our AVID program. AVID, or Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a unique educational approach that empowers our students to be successful in the future, whether it be college, career, or life.
Why is AVID so important? Here's why:
1. Preparation for Success: AVID equips students with the skills they need to excel in high school, college, and beyond. It focuses on critical thinking, organization, and study skills – essential tools for a successful educational journey.
2. Boosting Confidence: AVID builds confidence in students. By setting high expectations and offering support, it encourages students to believe in their abilities and take on challenges.
3. Collaboration and Communication: AVID promotes collaboration and effective communication. Students work together, engage in discussions, and learn how to express their ideas clearly – skills that are invaluable in any field.
We encourage you to engage with your child and ask about what they're learning about AVID and test taking strategies in all their classes. Together, we can empower our students for success now and in the future.
